The GSA has launched two new surveys to help guide how the executive can best support the graduate student community.
Last April, over 1,000 graduate students submitted responses to our annual survey. These results helped us identify the key priorities the GSA should advance and highlighted the concerns graduate students are facing.
By completing these surveys, you’ll be entered to win an iMac or one of twenty $20 gift cards to the Last Defence Lounge. The two surveys are as follows:
Program Cost Survey:
This survey aims to evaluate whether you as members are receiving adequate information about the costs of your program. Your responses will directly inform how we advocate to the university to ensure that no graduate student is surprised by the financial obligations of attending graduate school at UCalgary. All answers are confidential and anonymous.

Comprehensive Advocacy Survey:
This survey aims to better understand the challenges facing graduate students at the University of Calgary and to identify priority areas for GSA advocacy efforts. The advocacy team previously utilized student feedback from the UCGSA Annual Survey to inform advocacy from May to September of 2025. Your responses will direct our advocacy strategies from September onwards, and help us better represent your needs to external stakeholders. All answers are confidential and anonymous. You do not need to finish the survey in one sitting: you have a week after you’ve opened the link to complete it.
