GSA Town Hall Recap: A Powerful Kickoff to the Year

The Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) kicked off the year with its first Town Hall, bringing together graduate students from across disciplines for an engaging and productive session. This event was the first opportunity for the community to meet and connect with the newly elected 2025 Executive Council, setting the stage for a year of open communication, collaboration, and strategic momentum.

At the Town Hall, each member of the Executive Council introduced their portfolio and outlined key priorities for the academic year ahead. Students were encouraged to ask questions, offer feedback, and share ideas—ensuring their voices help shape decisions from the start.

A major focus of the event was the GSA’s evolving three-year strategic plan. Attendees contributed to early discussions that will influence the direction of this long-term vision, highlighting key issues and opportunities for the graduate student community.

If you weren’t able to attend, or want to revisit the material, we invite you to explore the presentation shared during the session. It outlines the goals of each Executive and the broader strategic themes guiding our work.
