Grants

The GSA offers the Professional Development Grants (PDGs) to any eligible and successful applicants. The PDGs fund academic pursuits that are not directly related to degree requirements, but are of value to the academic careers, or will enhance the intellectual life of graduate students at the UCalgary.

The PDGs fund academic pursuits that are not directly related to degree requirements, but are of value to the academic careers, or will enhance the intellectual life of graduate students at the UCalgary.

It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that your application is complete before submission (i.e., application form complete, supporting documents attached). Only COMPLETE applications will be accepted for review.

NOTE: applications only accepted for activities that have occurred in the past 12 months (will not be accepting applications for future events/activities). Review the Terms of Reference for details before applying.

You must have your supporting documents combined into one (1) PDF file ready before starting the application (this includes receipts, proof of attendance, etc. File size maximum 100mb – Google how to shrink a file if your file is too large).

Intakes

  • Fall Intake: October 30 – November 1, 2024 
  • Winter Intake: February 17 - February 28, 2025

Applications are due at 4:00 pm MT on the last day of the intake period. Applications submitted after 4:00 pm MT will NOT be accepted/reviewed.
